SABER
Saber is an excellent introduction to marshal swordsplay. We assume unarmored combat meaning the first to strike gains a number of points depending on hit placement. Stance, footwork, wrist strength, strategy all are skills built in this discipline which transfer well to all other disciplines.

EASTERN SABER & SHIELD
This is the most dynamic discipline in MSF. We assume armored combat and slashes are tallied cumulatively in timed rounds, however a saber thrust to thorax, neck, or head results in an automatic victory to each round. The first student to earn ten points or a vital thrust wins the round.
