BladeFit Games — Ages 11–18

Outdoor field games applying the principles learned in Youth Soft Sword — culminating in an end-of-season tournament.

BladeFit Games takes the principles learned in our Monday Youth Soft Sword class outside to the park for game-focused training. Students apply footwork, timing, and combat fundamentals through team field games, capture-the-flag style scenarios, and skirmish play designed to build athleticism and tactical thinking in a fun, social setting. The season culminates in a tournament where students put their skills to the test.

Why we train this

Games are how young martial artists develop intuition. Outdoor, game-based training reinforces the techniques from Monday class while building endurance, teamwork, and the confidence to make decisions under pressure — all in an open, low-pressure environment.

Required and recommended equipment

Loaner equipment is available for trial classes and for new students.

Trial policy

Every BladeFit Academy program uses the same trial policy: a one-time $5 paid trial class. Loaner gear is provided for the trial, so nothing needs to be purchased in advance.
